In the quaint town of Gatlin, Nebraska, the children follow the preachings of a boy named Isaac. Isaac delivers his sermons in the cornfields, and has convinced the children that all of the adults in town must be killed. A young couple passing through the town find themselves trapped in a struggle to survive the "Children of the Corn".
